about

David

Has always had an interest in Japan and once tried to learn Japanese while at high school, before being asked to quit by his Japanese teacher….after graduating university in Australia he found himself wondeing what to do next; he arrived in Japan in 2002. He has lived in Okayama and Hyogo but currently resides in Kagawa, the home of udon, boat racing and Japanese Fans… Being much more handy with a camera than a pen, he decided to kick himself in the ass and make an effort to write about and document some of the cool stuff Japan has to offer, if only from a selfish and one sided perspective; hey doesn’t everyone.

Terrance

Apparently, third person is the format du jour, so here goes. Terrance enjoys movies, Thai food, and walks in the park. He really does enjoy those things, but he also very much enjoys living in Japan. A US Navy brat with a dad from Mississippi and a Japanese mom from the cold northern prefecture of Yamagata, he has lived over twenty of his 33 years in Japan. Over ten of those years has been in beautiful Kobe, Japan, located in the Kansai region of Japan. He honestly enjoys life in Kobe, but he’s also been very slow at completing that PhD thesis in Japanese politics he’s supposed to be working on. He’ll put part of the blame on David for roping him into taking part in cool but distracting ventures such as T-shirts and Japan-themed blogging. Terrance is a proud non-Tokyo resident of Japan and looks forward to sharing his take on this country with whoever will listen.
